Tuning Kit for Turbo Actuators 

Now you can fine tune your turbo actuator to the exact needs of your engine with this complete tuning kit.

In your actuator tuning kit, you will find four or five springs (dependent on your actuator) and the associated spring retainer. The strongest spring is the red, followed by the blue, yellow and finally the green which is the weakest.

Please select from the options above if you require this kit for an 048 or 049 actuator. The 048 actuators are those with a big body, the 049 actuators are those with a standard size body.

Piston 049 acuators and diaphragm 049 actuators use the same springs.

The spring colour codes and their running pressures are as listed below.

T2 049 (Small) Actuator Springs (Both Piston and Diaphragm Type 049):
Green – 10 psi (0.7 bar)
Purple - 13 psi (0.9 bar)
Yellow – 15 psi (1.0 bar)
Blue – 18 psi (1.2 bar)
Red – 20 psi (1.4 bar)

T3 048 (Big) Actuator Springs:
Green - 10 psi (0.7 bar)
Yellow - 12.5 psi (0.9 bar)
Blue - 17 psi (1.2 bar)
Red - 18 psi (1.3 bar)

We normally supply our actuators, unless requested differently, with a spring that will match the tension of the manufacturer’s original fitment valve. However, as many owners undertake tuning modifications some may wish to re-tune the actuator characteristics to suit a given application.

Note: Serious or fatal damage may occur to the engine and associated components if this product is incorrectly matched to the individual engine requirements. These kits are NOT suitable for our Diesel actuator for Garrett VNT turbos.
