Oil Breather Hose Upgrade Abarth 500/595/695

Forever at the forefront of performance enhancements for performance vehicles, Forge Motorsport also takes considerable pride is designing products which prevent mechanical failures. A product which has been born from owners with Abarth’s reporting a fault with the original Fiat breather pipework which has a tendency to split.

The original oil breather pipe is manufactured from a metal hard pipe with a rubber hose joiner at each end and It’s these rubber joiners that fail.

Over the course years of heat cycles and oil vapour transforming these hoses from a flexible and supple material into a hard almost waxy rubber which cracks over time allowing toxic fumes to enter the cabin and oil to leak over the engine. 

This is where the development team have inspected this issue and have come up with a totally different design. We now have a product which uses one material and is one part construction, rather than three parts bonded together.

The oil breather hose uses a four-ply silicone construction and uses an inner layer of fluorosilicone. This fluorosilicone lining stop’s any oil vapour to sweat through the silicone, this then prevents any compromise to the structure of the hose.

The fact it is a full silicone design means it very flexible and will cope with any engine movement. As such the longevity of hose will far eclipse that of the OE hose, which is why Forge Motorsport can offer a lifetime warranty on all silicone-based products. This product is a direct replacement for the OEM part.
